Rhythm Core Alpha is now much better placed in the Nintendo 3DS eShop for Europe, the UK, and Australia, appearing in a section called “Feel the Rhythm”. Being close to the front page helped sales in the Americas tremendously, so we are hoping that this helps us in the rest of the world!
Alas, we still don’t have a partner for selling Rhythm Core Alpha in Japan and the rest of Asia…

Rhythm Core Alpha has been in the 3DS eShop since it launched, but we saw our sales double when we appeared in the “Play More” section. We noticed that we weren’t in the “Applications” section. So we asked Nintendo, and they agreed to put us there starting on November 10th! Also, we are updating the banner for the Americas version of the eShop to match the more dynamic banner from the European release.
Meanwhile, work proceeds slowly on Rhythm Core Alpha 2. Honestly, most of the features were added by last May, but we have been hung up on the new sound library and some issues regarding test versions.

Still banging on a rather nasty bug in the European release. But we get paid for first quarter sales on the Americas version on the 30th! YAY! Finally I can get back all that money I spent on the Dev System, the ESRB rating, the Nintendo Insurance, the LLC filing, the trademark… when it is all counted, I might be able to buy a sandwich.

A competing program launched today, but we actually sold ever so slightly more units Monday than we did Sunday. I guess they didn’t affect our sales at all. But hey, we are better in every way, and $3 cheaper, so I guess I shouldn’t be surprised!
We just got in a crucial bit of paperwork for our European launch, so we’ll be coming for them soon enough!
