New “Rhythm Core Alpha 2″ dubstep composition “Cogs In The Machine” by @very Caldwell!

Thursday, April 17th, 2014

@very Caldwell posted this in the Rhythm Core Alpha Facebook Group:

“Hey guys! I am @very Caldwell, and I produce music under the stage name “@CE”. Just recently I finished a song I wrote on Rhythm Core Alpha 2, and I wanted to share it with you all! (The only part of this song that was not made on the 3DS was the vocoder)
Enjoy, & feedback is totally appreciated!! ^.~”

@very, we think this is awesome! Finally somebody makes good use of all those dubstep wub sounds that I put in there! I can also hear great use of the “GHG Flying” sound (“Green-Haired Girl Flying”: the Lum-flying sound). This is great stuff, and I can’t wait to hear what you do next!

New song! “So Wrong” by Timon Marmex

Saturday, February 1st, 2014

Timon Marmex has created another fantastic Rhythm Core Alpha 2 composition! His song “So Wrong” was originally featured on his album “White Collar Punk” and has now been lovingly rendered using Rhythm Core Alpha 2 and is quite possibly better than the original! Give it a listen!

Removed the Forums, added a “Files” page.

Thursday, October 17th, 2013

Since nobody has posted in the forums in years, we have removed them completely. They were making it look like Rhythm Core Alpha was an inactive project, which could not be further from the truth! For those who want to chat with us about Rhythm Core Alpha and Rhythm Core Alpha 2, please visit our Facebook group at https://www.facebook.com/groups/123510537671498/ .

We’ve added a new “Files” page to hold all of the files we make available to our users. These are mostly PDF versions of all of the manuals in various languages, but it also contains the contents of the press packs for those who wish to write about Rhythm Core Alpha products, something we highly encourage!

Here is a PDF of the Manual!

Tuesday, September 3rd, 2013

Folks on YouTube have been asking for a manual they can download and print, so we took what we had and made a PDF. You can get it here:

Rhythm Core Alpha 2 – User Manual

This is based on a draft version and doesn’t include edits that were made later to the version included in the product, so please refer to the internal version of the manual if there are any inconsistencies or errors.

Right now we are very busy, but remind us and we will try to get the other languages manuals up as well!

Rhythm Core Alpha 2™ will be released in Europe and Australia on August 15th!

Thursday, July 25th, 2013

We are pleased to announce that the European version of Rhythm Core Alpha 2™ has passed all Nintendo testing and is due to be released in those territories on August 15th. That includes the UK, all of Europe, and Australia!

We are very excited to finally release in Europe and Australia! We can’t wait to hear what kind of music you can make!

Rhythm Core Alpha 2™ will be available as a download for the Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo DSi game systems in the Nintendo eShop or Nintendo DSiWare store. The price in Europe will be 10 euros, or 1000 Nintendo Points.

Rhythm Core Alpha 2™ is the most full-featured music sequencer / solo instrument available for Nintendo game platforms, designed for creating and playing music live. It includes a traditional drum grid and piano-roll style sequencer, a solo mode with 10 different variations for playing instruments live, a drum screen for playing drums, a mixer screen for controlling levels, and a pattern mode for arranging loops and chord changes to form complete songs.

It contains many synthesis capabilities like ADSR envelopes for volume and pitch, a powerful vibrato/arpeggio feature, and per-track echo.

The buttons can be redefined to change the key and scale of your sequences, and/or jump to different loops or different sections of the pattern (song), a feature that is unique among music software programs on any platform.

There is a full set of editing features for copying notes and beats that is not available in any other Nintendo music tool.

For these reasons, we believe that Rhythm Core Alpha 2™ is the most powerful music program on any game platform, and the most compelling program for the creation of live music.
