Rhythm Core Alpha is now being tested at Nintendo Co. Ltd. for final release!

Tuesday, December 7th, 2010

Just called Nintendo in Germany to get info in my lotcheck status. Evidently they have sent it along to Japan for final testing. Crossed fingers!
(p.s. Google voice to Germany seems to work better than for domestic calls!)

Rhythm Core Alpha European release is so close…

Monday, December 6th, 2010

Nintendo sent back a very small number of errors with a “Request for Feedback”. So, if I push, I can probably get it out right away. I’ve already fixed their errors, but worry that waiting another week for test will make sure my product is not in the DSi shop on Christmas.
Also, I have some approval for the “Export” feature, but not sure on the “Import”. Chances are pretty good neither will be in the European release, as that would push it back past Christmas. I sure wish I knew about that sooner.

Yet another Lotcheck submission for Europe

Monday, November 29th, 2010

Set version 5 to Nintendo of Europe. A very small number of fixes in this one. Hopefully this is the last revision.

Sent Rhythm Core Alpha to LotCheck again.

Ok, just sent out version 0.4 to Nintendo of Europe for Lotcheck testing.

We must be getting close…

Thursday, November 11th, 2010

Nintendo is asking about error checking in our save game format… I thought we went through all that with Nintendo of America?

Rhythm Core Alpha European version 0.3 has been sent to Nintendo Lotcheck!

Ok, the new submission packet is off to Nintendo of Europe! Many fixes, many corrections. Let’s hope this is it!

One step closer to Europe…

Wednesday, October 27th, 2010

Found my bug! YaY! All is good with the world! Now all I have to do is edit the other 4 manuals…

Still debugging, but we get paid soon!

Wednesday, October 27th, 2010

Still banging on a rather nasty bug in the European release. But we get paid for first quarter sales on the Americas version on the 30th! YAY! Finally I can get back all that money I spent on the Dev System, the ESRB rating, the Nintendo Insurance, the LLC filing, the trademark… when it is all counted, I might be able to buy a sandwich.

Nintendo of Europe wants more revisions

Monday, October 25th, 2010

Nintendo of Europe has returned more bugs and translation errors to us to fix.

At least the turnaround is much quicker than it was for the Americas.

Version 0.2 off to Nintendo Europe Lotcheck!

Monday, October 18th, 2010

Ok, all the revisions are done and I’ve sent a new revision packet to Nintendo of Europe. We took a week and did a complete overhaul on every single language. I’m looking forward to a little rest now.

European version update

Thursday, October 14th, 2010

I just integrated the new StringDB with the revisions for all languages, which involved a lot of box resizing, etc. I’m still waiting on the manual revisions, which are going quite slowly. It looks like we won’t hit Lotcheck for Monday. I sure hope that Nintendo and all of our European users appreciate the effort that is going into this!
